Dog Food???

Drew my first tag for Baraga Unit this year. Myself and hunting buddies already have loads of hostess, grease and popcorn. Question is where are people buying there dog food. I'm looking for the cheapest route. I've asked most major pet stores about purchasing there dqamaged inventory at a reduced rate; however, they either already donate the damaged bags or send them back to the wharehouse. Just looking for more variety; however, cheapest generic brand I found was $10 for 50lb bag. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

$10 is about right. Sounds like you want to have a heap to offer them though. My suggestion: Use about 3 gallons of bait every 2 days. This will cause them to compete for food and they will use it during daylight hours. If you give them enough food for a week or two, you won't see as much day time activity.

I use to start with a bucket mixed with dogfood, corns, oats, and molasses. Mix it up and your good to go. Throw logs over it and then a big bucket full of fryer grease on top of all of it.

If you have a Savalot store nearby get their cheap dogfood as it is around 3 bucks a bag and it smells like old grease right from the bag. I used this mixed cooker oil and some honey and only put out about 2 to 3 lbs every couple of days.
