Lake Chemung 2/18

2 of us fished Chemung from 5 - 7:30 pm west of the boat launch in 42' of water. Graphed tons of fish from 14 to 21 feet down. We
ended up with 39 nice crappies for the effort.
Minnows on tiny #16 treble hooks are the ticket.

Ice thickness is still about 7".

Fished the same spot tonight, 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Lots of gills, kept 4 nice crappie. The bite turned on around 7:00pm. All the crappies were on minnows, around 13 feet down.

I fished from noon to a little after dark. Caught 17 real nice perch biggest was 10" smallest was 7". Also caught 6 nice gills and 1 decent crappie. Caught a ton of small fish. Also it was finally nice to meet someone from the site, was nice to meet ya Hunt4Ever. How did those 2 other guys do? Don't think I'll fish there again this year ice was getting pretty bad had 1/2" of water and slush on it. When I got to shore it looked like you guys were sitting on top of the water.

The two guys next to me cought some gills and a couple of crappies. We both left around 7:30pm.
