CONGRATS to the little man !
Nice one !
It seems to be twice as much fun when the kids do the catchin' !

I was out there this morning. Nothing special. A small pike , small bass , and lost alot of crawlers to the little bait steelers.
No walleye.
Did catch one Sunday on a fire-tiger harness.

A great big "CONGRATS" to your son. Way-ta-go!

Boy I totally agree with ya! Nothing better than having the little fellas along!! Fishing without my little grandboys? Well...(I mean at least to 'me' at this stage), not taking my fellas, is just another day holding a rod. The excitement is with watching 'them'! I'd rather see my little guys do all the catching, and me just take pics, and have my memories. It's 'priceless', and doesn't get any better than that!

I have kicked myself a number of times for not taking pic of my kid when we went fishing. My oldest first fishing trip was on the ice and had to pick him up to set him on the 5 gal bucket. He would set there all day if the fish were there, if not he played in the snow. The only kids I take out now are boyscouts in my troop and that is ok but not the same. My oldest is 25 now and we will go out just few times a year now.

I'll tell ya....this Digital Camera of mine is a godsend! I absolutely love it! But, if not for my adult children getting together and buying it for me, I wouldn't have one. Can snap dozens & dozens of photos all day long. Luckily I don't have to take the chip and have the pics printed. Just load them to my puter and print them off myself on photo paper. So quick & easy, and sure don't have to wait for developing. Use the same card over and over and over. I also received a battery charger with 4-sets of rechargable batteries. I can recharge 4 batteries at a time. I just love this thing, lol. I think I put more money into photo albums now, more than I ever did, but sure do have the pics to remember stuff.

I enjoy any new comer.Just last year I had my little bro and Mom's husband who are 28 & 59 on the PM for the salmon run.We floated across this hole that at a guess had 500 fish in it and Mom's husband danced off the end of the boat doing circles saying look at all the fish look at all the fish over and over again. The two guides who where fishing it at time laughed so hard:lol:  It was priceless wish I had a video cam at the time:D :D

... to the little guy. Times like that are priceless, and they vanish much too quickly. Hold on as long as you can Steely!

Hey! If you'r ever near Crystal Lake in the future, drop me a PM before you go. I can direct you to a small lake in the area, where our second home is, that is great for that size Bass and probably all the panfish your kids can handle. No jet ski's, or large boats buzzing you. Just lots of quiet, natural, sights and sounds.
