Mike,
The word we're hearing is that SLL has tons of smaller fish this year. One guy sez he caught 3-4 sublegals for every keeper.
Look forward to yr reports on how to get the BIG ONES.:D Good Luck.
Oh yeah, TG the mayflies are done, they were a real mess at times this year.

Seems like every year I hear people catch a lot of sub legals. They got to grow up sometime. I think we caught 1 sub-legal last year among the legal ones.

Personaly. I do rather well outa both arms of that lake. Usually in early sept too when they are still in that summer to fall transition. Every year at our T up there 60 boats usually pound the bass and get a few eyes in the way too.

Lake Lelanau has to be one of my favorite lakes. My granparents had a house on it 20 years ago. You can catch just about any species in there. Unfortunately they sold their house before the walleye fishing got good. My dad got an 8 pounder through the ice on a tip-up way back when. That was a big deal in the mid 80's on on Lelanau.
