Ice on Foote pond?

I am going up to Oscoda this weekend, is there safe ice behind the dam and what are you catching? Thanks!

There was safe ice a week ago. I normally make it up every weekend but was unable to this past one. Action has been slow as of late with a few pike being taken. Some decent numbers of gills are being caught with wax worms, as well as the occaisional dink perch. Crappie fishing has ranged from poor to fair(at best) using minnows at night. I will talk to my neighbor and double check the conditions. PM me around Wednesday, and I can give you a better report and some specifics.

bigmac - did you get drawn for a turkey license? I got hunt 107. read in a couple of places that they are catching steelies below dam. when are you heading up? give me a buzz

Best fishing results have been produced using Narragansett/creme horn chum.

Yeah, especially off the docks!!! The curing process takes no time at all. Comes out real quick:eek: I like to use an old gun case to clean up:D As of right now I did not get drawn. We'll hunt my property I'll call for ya. 'Bout time you started postin' on here!!!

One of you guys obviously has the permit for hunt 107 that was supposed to be for ME!!!!

Are you both speaking in some kinda code??? Cause I am sure lost after those last two posts.

Allright NEM- We'll let ya in. Back when my friend mal and myself were about 16-17 my father took us to our cabins. We snuk some cheap hooch out, "Naragansett" beer and we took some snacks. We rode the atv down to the river to fish. Started drinking the most awful beer I have drank to this date(I'm 32 now) and eating creme horns. Next thing I know I get a rumbling gurgle in my stomach...:eek: Picture Jeff Daniels now in the bathroom scene from Dumb and Dumber!!! I hung my ***** off the dock and let loose. Had no paper( wasn't planning on this happening) so I had to take my Trusty Sheridan Blue Streak pellet gun out of the old cloth case and tear it into "sh#@ tickets" Aren'y you glad you asked???? aaaahhhhhh youth...

ps- Sheridan Blue Streaks were the best!!!!!!;)
