what are they using from shore

I am from sarnia and fish from shore because of the lack of a boat and was wondering what they are using for walleye along the govemet docks or at the mouth of the river been down there a few times latley and it has been packed must be catching them on something. another question is whats the best presentation for live bait from shore for walleye
