The weeds have made their way down to the dumping grounds. Floating weeds everywhere made it nearly impossible to troll today. Caught a few perch from the Northwest corner down to the #2 can. One Silver Bass that thought he was a Steelie. He zigged and zagged all over the place. Moved to the Delphine and trolled up two nice smallies. One was foul-hooked below the throat. I thought I had a Musky on.

Moved up above the St. Clair Light. Wind picked up, still had a ton of weeds and no bites. Decided to Musky troll back to Miller Marina. Floating weeds lessened however the weedbeds have grown almost to the surface in 15 to 16 feet of water. Tried trolling Daredevles above the weeds but nothing happened. Called it a day.

A pretty day on the lake but not very productive. Maybe try the St. Clair River tomorrow.

It nice to know it not just me. With others posting limits this week, and me not catching any walleye at all, I thought I must have offended the fishing gods and was taking it personally. I have nothing left to try in my tackle box.:)

we were drifting the dumping grounds on Thursday, ended up with 4 eye's 14-16" and 10 keeper perch. Very slow day, but beautiful. Also, 2 of the eye's were caught by my 5 yr. old son.....his first eye's ever, so that was very cool.....for both of us!! :)

Swamprat and I were talking about this statement while we were on LSC Saturday.

Did you, in fact, stay home due to the barometer? Do you use the barometric pressure as an aid for fishing? I'm curious. The morning started slow but we moved around 10am and things picked up. I just looked at the NOAA LSC bouy charts but I can't see what the pressure was at 10. I'd be interested to know.
