Sure hope they approve a size and limit change on those hammer handles! ;)

That would be nice, but it probably won't happen for about 2 years too long IMO (assuming it will happen in 2008 after the spring '07 study)...what are we in the 4th or 5th year of the "pike plague" already?

good to see they might be doing something about the hammer handles. it would be nice to get back into some good walleye action as it was in the past. Fished one day there this weekend and caught a 19" eye, small pike and a rock bass.

I usually try to get by and see Lyman when I'm up there and we've (along with others) have discussed the hammer handle issue for the past couple of years. He's gonna keep pushing for the size/limit change every chance he gets. Fishing is major part of HL's livelyhood and with the rep its got right now for HH's on top of the gas prices and the overall economic climate in Michigan right now they need all the help they can get right now!

Should work. As long ans they do not introduce Tiget muskies.

Good News to read about my favorite inland Walleye hole!!!:D
I also keep every legal pike I can up to my limit when I'm at HL, even though I don't eat them. I can always find people to give them to, even if its the neighbors cat!!! God knows there's enough of them in there. :fish:
