My son and I found some time to hit a local lake one evening fro a little bass fishing.
We tried spinner baits for a long time with very little success, so we switched to some Yum crawfish on a texas style rig, and that seemed to be what they were looking for. We caught tons of small bass in the 10" and under range, but we did manage a few good ones also. The good news for me, it was the first time in a long time I was able to out fish him... !

Nice catch there wyle. Need to fish that lake during the spawn. Try using a soft jerkbait on top of those lilly pads. The bass explode on them. It is loads of fun. Nice catch.

Looks like a good day on the water. I'm thinking some scum frogs across those lilly pads... :)

 ...Yes, even he was telling me he needs a cut, but he won't cut it short, he'll just get the "wings" cut off. He's still a stud.

I like the pic of me with the smaller bass. I look like I have a swollen tooth, my cheek was packed full of sunflower seeds...:)
I still say I'm pretty good looking for a fat guy...
