A Hot fourth on the lake!!

After a little storm this morning out from the #2 can, the fish just turned on.....Alabama and myself Ended up with our limits in no time!! watermelon was good at first and once the sun was shining high...silver took over!! It was definetly a early bite as they tappered off for some of the fellas later in the morning!! Great to see all you guys out there though!! Allucaneat, Hotwired, driggers....etc ... Cpt. Perch is busy tomorrow so I will be hitting the river in the morning for a little jigging and handlinning!!:D

I figured Wally had moves South or East because the Perch at 28 and 30 weren't trying to hide! They definitely were in a bait stealing mood. Dink city except for the 11 1/2 incher my son caught. Final score: 2 walleyes for me, one for MuskyHunter. And no surgical gloves today. Maybe I would have had a limit with the gloves on.

I can just hear you guys now. "Probably Not!"

Might have to take tomorrow off and hit the South side.

congrats everybody!...went out on the 4th also and got a 4 man limit in about 6 hours...it seemed like everytime we caught 1, we would catch 2 or 3 in that same spot at the same time...they seemed to really be schooled together tight...green fire tigers, chrome backs and metallic green blades with chrome backs, all green beads, worms tipped with white twister tails...my parents and i had a nice fish fry for the 4th...for me, all the fireworks came on the water ha, ha----thekid:gaga:

I caught a couple there in that area on lemon/lime early, but it got to be a pain with soooo many boats. I'm not much for crowds. I left the area to try the dumps and cught a couple more on chrome and then went up further toward the SC light next to the ditch and got 2 more on gold and chrome.:D At least I managed to get my limit before getting called in to work.:sad:

Yeah Kevin you & Bama sure put the hurt to me. If it wasn't for Capt Perch we would have had a pitiful catch. Guess I didn't change colors enough. I was a little busy steering & nettin all his fish. Once again congrats to a skilled team. There is always next time. By the way my buddy on the river got skunked 2 times in a row. I think its time to move on.

I fished the river today with success....fished firetigers spot by the Ambassedor bridge....Jigging.....took a little bit after I missed my sixth fish trying to lift it in without a net....but managed a limit!! Fun to be back out on the river!! There were a lot of floating weeds so decided to jig instead of pulling spoons! Paid off! You just had a off day after putting a hurt to me the other day dave!;) Off to Pelee island tomorrow with a few guys from the site....should be a fun time!!.....then back to the grind of the Det. river friday morning!!:lol: :lol: ;) ....What a week off!!

Nice job on the fish Kevin.....Me and my neighbor where out in the lake yesterday in the 4 to 5 footers, but did manage to pull 9 fish from the dumping grounds all the way down to #4 can. We where pulling HotnTots, wallydivers, flatfish, and Thundersticks and the old faithfull crawler harness. Most fish came on 1/2 oz. HotnTots 75 ft. back in 18 ft. of water. When the action took a little break, we saw some guys off of 4 can in 12 ft. of water in Canada, so we went to investagate. The fish where in there heavy, nets flying everywhere, but wasnt sure if they where catching EYES of Smallies, then boom we had one on, it was mister Wallter......Couldnt believe these fish where in such shallow water. Well, we picked up a few more and called it quits at 2:00.
Going back there tonight, so hopefully they will still be in there. We did talk to Alabama, and he said you guys had been doing good in there the last few days. If you talk to BAMA, tell him thanks for the Radio contact, helped us out a great deal.....

The hot color was a white (glow in the dark) with green back. I only have 1, and i dont know when or where i got it, but it is an old Faithful lure. Also the red crayfish was good, and blue and silver. 12lb. test line. Weeds where a problem in the open lake, but when we got down south of the G.P.Y.C. Point, they were gone. Forgot to mention, The size of the fish where bigger then normal, first fish in the boat was a 6 lber, was only down for 2 minutes when he hit, didnt even have my second rod set yet.......AWSOME catching Walters on body baits......

Alabama was out perch fishing this morning with my wife!!:lol: I was out at pelee island walleye fishing....will post about that tomorrow with some pictures......will be out perching in the morning with the wife and Alabama.....they did good off Art Vans.....that spot out by #4 in the shallows did us good for a few days!! Fun time and limits!! Heard there's a ton of Floating weeds now....so may try the perch out till Sat. morning!

Still going on H.L., did good there last night, and going out tonight.....Also some bonus Jumbies......Wife and kids still up North, and got to go up and pick them up on Sat., My fishing fun is OVER for a while.....
