For several decades since the first salmon contest around the Great Lakes it has been a standard custom to donate the fish to local fishing organizations for fish boil fund raisers, rescue missions, or senior centers, etc. What does your local port contest do with your fish? Are the recipients of your fish 501(c)(3) qualified?
