you could weight 20 fish if you could catch that many. 12 lakers and 8 silver fish. I think the most fish weighed was 13 and that was gailforce sunday with 10 lakers and 3 steel. Most of the trout were in the 3-4 lb range.

You could weigh a four person limit of trout and salmon each day.
Weather was great  (calm waves and mostly sunny both days) but fishing was slow. It was tough to get a limit of mud chickens (unusual for Huron) and the King Salmon were few and far between but I think the numbers of King Salmon caught were maybe little better than the previous 2 or 3 years. The Pink Salmon are flourishing this year as they contaminated every line set in the top half of the water column . Don't get me wrong, I think Pink Salmon are a good eating fish but they don't help a whole lot when fishing a tournament. Even the average size of the mud chickens seems to be smaller than previous years. Are we seeing the effects of concentrated fishing pressure on the Lake Trout in the absence of the King Salmon?
Congrats to Felds Farm who had a great catch (by current Lake Huron standards) the first day (over 80 lbs) and held on to win against some very good teams.

Thanks guys. I fished on Feld's Farm. We managed to put to gether a decent limit of lakers day one with a few 8 pounders mixed in. Started off saturday with a 6+ pound steelie and a 10+ King in the first hour and picked away at lakers the rest of the day.
Day 2 we thought we were done from the beginning. Had Engine troubles, loss power/RPMs and had a bad engine knock, sat down for a few seconds and went away. Had four lakers all day and nothing for about 4 hours of fishing. Than hit four more in about 5 minutes to finish off.
On the way back in we had the same engine troubles :yikes: . Heart attack #2 for the day. But same thing, let it rest and had no more trouble. Needed 35.5 to tie. Finished with about 40 pounds. Didnt think we'd make it. Had a great time. Nice meeting and talking with slammer. Good luck to all.
