Fished at stoney today from 10:30 to 2:00. Fished a little west of Eastwood Beach in about 10 feet of water. Caught nothing but perch all day. About 25 or so total only had 7 that were nice fat keepers. The rest were either small or just below my idea of a keeper perch. Caught them all on minnows. Hopefully the forecast changes and it will stay cold. Plan on going out Sunday maybe out in front of that island by Baypoint Beach. I haven't been there yet in the winter. Hope to find bluegill and perch there.

hey bassmaster ya that was me out there. I built that a couple days ago even though it wasn't needed today i still wanted to try it out and see how it held up. Worked better than i thought I could disassemble and assemble it in about 2 minutes. I thought I saw you walking out there today just as i was leaving. Next time i'll have to say hi. How was the fishing where you were at today? Maybe i'll take you up on that offer not sure what this weather is thinking. If we have 40 degree weather tomorrow and Saturday i wonder how the ice will be?

Craig the ice is about 6-7" thick pretty solid. I hope it will hold for a while it does need to stay cold though. Ya that party store is SUPPOSE  be open at 9 everyday but sunday. Today I had the same problem i had to sit around in the parking lot til 9:45. I don't know of any other place around there to go to.

Me and my buddy fished there too. I saw the shanty, was that the one from fred trosts show? If you did it in black cover you could see the fish with that clear water. I fished just off the boat launch in 10' of water, 2 guys in ornge. We caught about 20 each but kept none cause all were pretty small. Think we might go back Tuesday and fish loser to where your shanty was. We started out at metro beach but it was a bust there saw 1 guys out of 100 catch 1 fish. But the guy next to me caught a mudpuppy, not one of the most attractive species I've seen. And yet Itrew it back cause the gys didnt want to touch it.

Tattoo Mike ya that was the one from the Fred Trost show. I did a couple things different like folding outiside braces. I was going to use the black, but i just decided to use the clear plastic. The clear plastic acts as a green house with the sunshining in it. I'm going to mount a tempature gauge in there next time and see how warm it is. I bet it was at least 50 degrees in there yesterday :) . They said you can make it for less than a 100 I managed to make it for 28 bucks:D . I did have hinges, duct tape, and a staple gun already at home though.

Craig:

I am taking my father today for our annual free winter fishing weekend trip. I am planning on hitting the middle lake. We will be in a small blue shanty. I picked up some minnows at the bait/wine shop last night. They were still open at around 10:30 to 11:00. The owner told me that no body had really done anything on the main lake but that some pike were being caught on the middle lake. We will be leaving in the afternoon. I bought a couple dozen minnows and if we don't use them all (I am sure we won't) you are welcome to them when we leave if we run into you.
