Zone 6 1st shotgun season....will be the first time for my 15 teen year old, making it twice as nice. Now if my oldest decides to go there for college this weekend, he'll get his too.....

Didn't get the permit...but should be there in a couple of years. Just got my preference point for this year. Good luck out there guys...it sounds like an awesome hunt!

I just baught a preference point this year, that gives me 2, I should be able to draw next time I put in. I guess I'll just have to settle for hunting those small Illinois bucks this fall!!!

I drew an archery tag for zone 5 with one point. I read on another forum I only had a 23% chance so I feel very lucky!

Good luck to all of you heading to Iowa, first time in over 12 years I will not be going. I'm going to spend my time and money archery bear hunting in the UP this year. Of course I'll try to tag one of those elusive Michigan 3 1/2 bucks this fall as well.
