Bizarre story. (http://mininggazette.com/stories/articles.asp?articleID=2456)
I really don't like hearing about stuff like this, yet I have to admit it was an interesting read. So irresponsible and a danger to the environment.

I'd like to see a showdown: the exotic fish vs. a hungry northern pike. Any takers?
there are different species of the pirhana. I believe that only one of them is dangerous and that's in packs. And even then, they must smell blood to trigger the feeding frenzy.

Dang...........just when I thought mine was a good one.................. Took him on a medium action spinning combo in Venezuela. The Missionary I was fishing with took a 35 pounder, but I wasn't going to post that picture........so I'd take this guy over a northern pike; because he's big enough and nasty enough to feed on big peacock bass, and strong enough to hunt in the fast current. Anyone agree?

If memory serves me correctly, it was a Pacu caught in Muskegon Lake also. People commonly confuse them with Piranna. Pacu's unlike piranna eat plants. I had one in college and use to feed it cucumbers.

when I was a kid. got tired of it and sold it to a guy I met in the pet shop. It was just over 8" long and took the tip of his finger (just shy of a 1/4") off when the fool put his finger in to push it out of the net and into the transport bucket!
