There is a bill to ban trapping in the state of maryland.if you fellow hunters could just take a few minutes and email some senators it would help greatly.
The hearing on HB377 was February 6th. We were greatly outnumbered by Wayne Pacelle and his group of chronies. Also in attendance was the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade. They were armed well in advance by going to every delegate's office in the state of Maryland, something that all of us should have been doing, not just a few. Our testimony was strong, but, perhaps not good enough. We need your immediate response to the full House of Delegates. Following is a list of all of the delegates in the House. Below the email addresses, is a copy of the bill, and the committee that the bill was heard in.
Have your wife, your friends and family, the neighbors, everyone you can to email or write a letter or make a phone call of opposition to HB377. The final vote will be in the near future.
We need everyone to help fight for our rights on this issue! This is a decision for farmers and rural America, not for legislators!! If they are going to ban leghold traps, they should include in this bill fishhooks, bow & arrow, rifle, and shotgun or any other means of wildlife control, because that is what our proponents are really after.
