You are talking about fletchers pond right? If so I looked at master angler awards for largemouth in this lake. All i can say is it must be an awsome bass lake.

I am thinking of heading up next weekend sometime for the panfish fishing. Are there any places that rent boats and who would you recommend. I have never been there before but have heard a few people talking about it here at work. Thanks.

Go get the boats at Jack's Landing. I usually stay at Browns North Shore Resort but their boats are beaters.
Our group week long trip is only 30 days away!!!!!!!! So don't take out too many fish. Leave some for us. :chillin:

Haven't fished Fletchers in 20 years. All the talk then was about the pike. The panfishing was good but pike was king.

I'll have to make a trip up there eventually.
Fletchers Pond to me sounds like what I call Old Reliable or Old Faithful lakes.
I'm sure some of you can relate to this but even going out to local lakes for bass often and catching 3-6 keepers every time, rarely do get any over 4 pounds and well little to never is there a ton of big ones in a row. They are more rare.
But certain lakes are just loaded with these huge bass its almost like we're in Florida for a bit.
One lake I know is like this is Indian Lake in Howard City, private unfortunately but My grand parents live there so I go every once in a while even without a boat cause I know ill just catch huge bass.
On a normal lake its usually lots of smaller ones and some big ones but on this lake its the opposite.
And it seems Fletches Pond is like this as Indian Lake is a flooded bog / swamp with stumps everywhere, great bass habitat.
But I do think that if i fished this type of lake every day I would be spoiled as thats not usually how it is (big bass that abundantly) so if you went to a "normal" lake again you would be stumped/bored.
So every once in a while ill decide to go to Indian Lake for "big bass" engourgment
