Silver Lake!!

goin up to silver lake to camp for the weekend, plan to do lots of fishing, grew up in shelby (not far from silver lake) so i know some OTHER good holes than silver lake, will report when i return.......:fish: :fish: :fish:

well im back from my lil weekend excursion, i got a nice lil hole in silver lake friday night didnt catch much just a 27" northern on a YUM walleye grub, saturday was a bit better we caught hand sized perch all day!! i started about noon and it was like 90 degrees, casted out as i was retrieving my worm it drug just outside of the edge of the bank and WHAM!!! a 17" largemouth, i couldnt believe i caught it given the time and heat but i think he was hiding under a tree and luckily i drug my worm right by him so i think he bit out of aggression, good times though!!! :fish: :fish: :fish:

yeah, silver lake is pretty decent for panfish. i grew up going to silver every weekend, so i have many hours log on that lake. now my little cousin that is 15 fishes the heck out of it and it dosent matter what time of day it is ..he will catch fish. on memorial weekend in one day he caught like almost 70 fish. i watched him clean them. he had like 1 walleye 3 smallies 1 or 2 largemouths and the rest were gills, perch,specks, and rock bass. he puts on a little fish fry on labor day weekend for all of us...kida cool. anywho ..goodluck

Furious, did you hit Stoney while you were up there? I havnt been up this month yet, wondering how it was looking up there. :fish:
