Camping

Want to go camping with a few of my buddies coming up here. I dont know where to start so i figured some of you would be able to reccommend some spots for us. I live in Taylor and dont want to travel too far, lets say 100 miles give or take a few. I want it to be a private area on a lake. possibly have boat rentals on the lake if possible. I was thinking Pinckney so if anyone can help it would be apreciated. The main thing is that it is right on a lake and has a fire pit, spots for tents, and maybe a boat /canoe rental. Thanks , Chris

Addison Oaks (Oakland County Parks) and Proud Lake meets your criteria I think

Sugarloaf Lake Is a state park just on the otherside of chelsea is nice. Everything you want just no boat rental. Bring your own canoe if you can.

Hands down try the crooked lake campground in the pinckney recreation area. It has rustic camping so you have some privacy and it's on a chain of 3 lakes. The last of which is Pickeral lake and holds stocked trout.
