Have the north winds all week hurt the fishing at all? Haven't seen a whole lot of reports. Maybe it has been to rough, but it looks like it will be letting up the next 2 days.

Nokes.
It's been my experience that only when the North winds are severe and last long enough to turn the water over in the inner Bay, does it have a lasting effect on the bite. But as you can see from the Surface temps, it's pretty much status-quo all across the Bay yet. I also read a post a few days ago that mentioned the walleye start heading out of the inner Bay once the water temps hit 72. I disagree with that assumption, as I've had some of my best (crankbait) fishing when the water surface temps finally reach 72 degrees on the inner Bay. Also note that where it's cloudy on the temperature map, it can effect and give a false reading as much as 10 degrees in some instances.

I refer to the surface temp maps alot but they sure do not coincide with the readings I get on my graph. I have been seeing anything from 72-77 on the inner bay the last couple weeks.

I've never seen two units of the same type read the same temperature (or speed for that matter) on any two different boats. Might be the hot water coming from your ourboards circulation outlet, shooting down and mixing with the water near your temperature sender near the back of the boat, a stagnent warm water pool near the surface, a change in the water depth making it warmer from the suns reflextion off the bottom. A lot of things that give false readings, off by a few degrees either way. I like the maps mainly because it shows me where the warmer/cooler waters are.
