I got hooked on bowfishing this year and have hit Saginaw Bay a few times with mixed success. Usually go out near Quanicassee/Wisner area. I am new to this and do not know the habbits/patterns of carp. I don't have a boat and have to wade for the fish. I have a couple questions on bowfishing Saginaw Bay in mid-June and July...

1. Do the carp still come in to shallow water or once the spawn is done or do they stay out in deep water?...I have reports of guys seeing no carp on nice days...and other reports of guys that have seen them last Friday in the shallows when we had the big North wind and it was cold.

2. Do the gar follow the same timing for spawning as the carp?

3. Do they come in at night only? Is it time to just hang the equipment up for the year?...I live an hour away and I hate to make trips without knowing if the fish are done.

thanks for any feedback you guys may have.
