Was up for the weekend with Turkey Minon. Fishing was great...for everybody but us. I talked to several people coming into the launch next door with near/limits on walleye and several large perch. I didn't go out Saturday morning, didn't want to go alone (wife's mandate). We went out from the west side in about 18 FOW in the afternoon. As it got dark, I noticed a large group of guys seemed to be chasing flags pretty consistently in about 50 FOW, so we moved out to the same depth, still setting tip ups 2 foot off the bottom. I found out the next day that they were fishing 6 foot off the bottom, so maybe in deeper water you've got to come up? Anyway, we did manage 2 walleye Sunday morning before the weather pushed us off the lake.

Here's the report from Ed at East Bay Outfitters:

Fishing this past weekend went from very good, to fair and back to very good alll in a span of two days. sat. am found fish being caught in 25 to 50 feet of water off church hill pt., the high banks and the south west sides. by sat pm the fish had lock jaw. sunday am the fishing picked back up again. it is 0 degrees out this morning and weather conditions are expected to stay cold all week. by this weekend i expect to see cars out on the ice. we currently have between 7" to 10" of ice on the lake.
good luck

According to the East Bay Outfitters web site, fishing has slowed down through the week, but...there's an ice fishing contest this weekend. Details and Registration can be done at the bait store before 10 am Saturday.:D
