my parents are going to be visiting next weekend and i want to take them out for some gill/spec fishing to catch some dinner. i don't panfish much except ice fishing... seems like most of the lakes near by greenville (N. Kent and Montcalm counties) all have parasites in the gills. if anyone can recommend a good clean lake nearby to try that would be cool.
you can pm if you like. :)
thanks

posted this before - I'll say it again!
Big Wabasis - 14-18 FOW off the break suspended about 10-14FOW.
Leafworms , crickets and waxies should jsut about have you covered.
I highly recommend a long rod & #12 or 10 Ratt Finkee (tied on a loop type knot) hung over the side.
Email me & after I get home - I'll see if I can pull some GPS coords. for likely spots to spank a good limit.

How far you looking to travel, They are some good sizes in chippewa, and On the ice we caught some good slabs in horsehead, which is just around the corner, NE in Mecosta
