You guys looking for Real Time wind speeds and vectors coming directly from the Gravelly Shoals lighthouse, put this link in your buddies list.

Just looked at it this morning and it helped make up my mind. Will see how this helps out this morning.

Dan,
Is there any place that gives the real time wind speeds for the inner bay? Would like to find something to check the winds before heading out. Sucks driving an hour with no wind then getting to the bay and having NE winds churning the bay up.

Joe.
I understand and feel your pain. I seldom really know what it's like out there, and I can practically see the Bay from my Dining room window. Few other bodies of water create the strange wind vectors I've experienced on the water like the Saginaw Bay, with the extreme SE and SW corners acting as much like the Bermuda Triangle as anything else I've seen. I was hoping with the newer Spark Plug added recently that NOAA would put some gear on one of those platforms like they did on Gravelly Shoals Light. I don't know if lobying them would help. I might put out a few feelers to see if it would.
