hi everyone,

my family and i are planning one last family camp this june before we make the move to Rhode Island. We will be camping in the muskegon area, and staying at the White river campground. I was hoping to get a chance to do some fishing on lake michigan, but don't have a boat. so if anyone could give me any information on where to fish from shores, or off a pier, please do let me know. What type of fishing is available during this time and what should I use? Anyway help is greatly appreciated. We will be up there on the 17th to 19th of June. If anyone do have extra rooms on their boat, do let me know as well. Thanks in advance.
:)

The salmon fishing is going to be very slow at that time. There more than likely won't be any around the piers (unless the water is really cold) and the fish will be very scattered out in the lake until the temp sets up, which I doubt will be the case by june 17th. I'm sure there will be plenty of carp, sheepshead, catfish and bass to be caught off the piers.

Hit the river for smallmouth and trout.
