View Full Version : Recommended spark plug gap on a 97 60hp Rude.

Curious on what that gap is. Unfortunately my owners manual is up in Montague and I'm in Dorr.
Anybody have access to that information.

plug gap is .030 like most evinrude and johnsons. here is a link.

hey ,are you fishing this weekend in monroe. that was fun last year. i will have my boat down that way ,but i am not sure what days.
Personally, I prefer the gapless marine plugs.

yes we will be down there this weekend.
Want to put fresh sparks in the outboard before the journey.

Go figure. I went and took one of the new spark plugs out of the box and low and behold it was one with out the gapper arm....haha...Guess I'll give the gapless plugs a shot....they are a little pricier than regular plugs....Perhaps they will work better.
