Fished from 9:30am til 1:30pm out of Hoyles. Probably boated close to 40 fish...13 of which were legal. Kept our 10 between 16-19". Noticed that the fish were either 15" plus or were in the 9-11" range. Must be a couple diff year class fish.

Hot rigs were floating Smile blade harnesses on bottom bouncers/riggers...green or char...with half a crawler.

Other 'hot' rig was a Glow Blue TwinSlam tagged with 1" of crawler, 6' behind a DeepSix (with WallyJack), out 40'. It took 4 of our largest keeper fish and no dinks...possibly the decoy spooks the dinks away? Or the spinner is large enough to keep the lil guys from hitting?
We fished this rig a couple times last year with the same thing happening...all 'big' fish.

Thanks AdamBomb for puttin us on the fish!

roostersbane,
glad you guys got on em. good job.;) :D

after work today i fished on my buddies boat for a few hours strait out from hoyles in 21 fow. the action was fast and furious. we caught tons of fish, probably around 50 or 60 total, 19 legal fish. nothing monster, just eaters. great night with some buddies, the fish bit, and the water was beautiful.

harnesses on in lines and bottom bouncers worked great again. we ran 1.0-1.1 mph for the best bite.

Slick fishing

I think there will be fish all summer long out infront of Hoyles or near the sparkplug. Just need to bring along enough worms to sort through all the throwbacks. Were out Tuesday morning and probalby caught 30 fish and kept 7 legal. Other guys we know had their limits yesterday in less than an hour and today had to work a bit more but were out at 7am and in by 11:00am.
