Wow.... talk about some up and down weather the past 2 weeks. We have seen everything from hail and snow showers (my guests had glove and toques on that day!!) to 40'C with the humidex!.... just crazy. Water temps in a number of the Kawartha lakes have moved from the high 50's and gone as high as 73.5'F surface temp on the main lake.
The warmer water has really got the weeds growing nicely and the Walleye fishing has been just excellent the past 10days with a number of guests catching their limits. Not only are we seeing good numbers of fish but also some excellent size fish in the mix.
Here is a pic of one of my guests with a huge Kawartha Walleye.... he had never caught a Walleye before and this pig was the 3rd fish he caught that day.

In addition here is a couple pics of me with 2 big Walleye taken the past Sat. (in the rain!) and Sun:

All of these big female fish were immeadiately released after a quick photo.
As per my other posts various plastic grubs and finesse minnow type baits (Storm lures/Lunker City) in the 3 and 4" sizes continue to produce well. Also, with in the warmer water we are also now getting some nice fish ripping Bucktail jigs along the deep weedlines in the lakes.
Take care all and Good Fish'n.... Greg.
