Punched a double ticket Sunday. Stayed close to the island at the mouth of the Saginaw River due to the waves getting my partner chumming within minutes of launching. :evilsmile  We were 1/2 mile north of the island in 15' of water, harnesses and plastic, didn't really matter the color, they all were catching fish. On the harnesses - red beads w/silver blade, trans. green beads w/chartruese blade. Cranks were purple irridescence floating deep diver and Perch colored Tail Dancers. Only had four throwbacks all day. Waves were a solid four footers at times earlier in the day, mellowed a bit later in the morning. Great time overall. Must have caught at least 20 fish. No trash fish either, beauty ! :D
On a side note, installed a trolling plate to the I/O and man did that work out just great ! No more dragging buckets/socks. Brought the speed down to 1.2 - 1.5 mph, motor ran like a champ, handling didn't seem to be adversely effected either. Couldn't be happier with the way this boat is working out. ;) :fish2: Oh yeah, sun burnt again.
Here's a couple pics of my partner with a few of the "eaters" after we got back to solid ground, he was much happier then !
