The past few years I've been pretty much just targeting Bass, Pike, and Muskie. I've never actually targeted Walleye. I've caught a few over the years while looking for other species but it looks like you guys have been tearing them up lately. While out this morning chasing Skis with Off the Wall we talked a little bit about it and it got me thinking about it. I think I may want to give Walleye a shot. I'm not really interested in handlining but probably just drifting harnesses or something like that in the lake. It seems like the expense would be minimal and it wouldn't take much to gather up the correct gear. Is there anyone out there familiar with fishing Waldo that would like to go along with me in my boat and kind of show me the ropes? If so, drop me a line and maybe we can set something up for a trip soon.
Thanks in advance!

John,
I'll be heading out either Monday or Tuesday evening, not sure which one yet. Not sure if I'll be going to Metro or up to Algonac, either way you are welcome to join me. I have a 17' Lund, no console/windshield on the passenger side as long as you don't mind the wind. I'm by no means a pro but I usually come away with at least a few in the cooler if not more. Let me know if you're interested.

Heck John, all you need right now is a pair of 1oz bottom bouncers and some crawlers and a couple of harnesses and you'll be all set.... Pretty much a no brainer right now.:D
A GPS will be a great help too...need to get the speed around 1.3-1.6....Even though I could only get my trophy to troll down to about 1.7 we're still getting bit.
yellowbelli and I will be back out at 0500 for them again tommorow.

Right here JPollman. I'll be happy to go out and fish with ya and show ya some very simple methods to catch alot of Walleyes. As soon as my Dad (things are getting a little better, we had a very good night last night:) ) gets out of the ICU, I'd be happy to fish with you. Your boat or mine. I would love to work out some sort of trade. Aren't you the sticker guy? Well, I need some fish eater stickers. Drop me a PM and maybe next week or two we can get together and troll some up in the Dumps/Mid Lake Humps.

Sounds good Fish eater. Glad to hear that your dad's doing better. I'll get in touch. I've got some work to do on my boat anyway due to a warning buzzer that started going off yesterday while Muskie trolling. Hopefully it's not a major issue and it'll be ready to launch again soon.
Thanks!
John
