Post your results of the day here:

Trolled 6am-11:30 am without even a hit.

On a side note, the "new" boat ran great. Trolled all that time without a hitch. Water temp never made it above 140* Nice comfortable ride.

Back to walleyes next week.

One rip, no fish landed. Worst opener in a while, other than that 20 minute window there were very few catches reported.

After finding a dead battery in the boat this morning and a run to Meiers for a new one, got started a little after 7. Had a very large fish hit an offshore in-line board and drive it right out of the water. Had 2 other rips early without a hook-up. Continued to troll that same area off the Fair Haven point for a while without another hit. Headed toward New Baltimore and Selfridge, cut across to the B marker and up past grassy without another hit. Made one last pass across the point on the way in at 1pm. 0 for 3 on the day.

I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one that got shutout!

Lines in at 7:15 pulled at 11:30

Only one fish hooked....none landed. (It was a nice solid fish thou)

Sure didn't hear much better coming from the radio.

There's always next year!

Slow morning. Started at the 400 club and was headed for the GPYC but the floating weeds were terrible so we headed for Anchor bay without any success. Met up with a few members for lunch which was enjoyable. Just before the storms hit we headed back out and got set up. The fish turned on like you wouldn't believe. Doubles, triples, drags screaming. We couldn't take any pictures because of the heavy rains.

OK, time to wake up John.
Man it sure sucks to get skunked! :p

Pretty good day on the water. Lost a our first one at the boat (long rod), it was a monster... :) FYI this years bad net award goes to Melon... As we finished crying, a board rod went off and we did a chineese firedrill to clear some of the lines out of the way and Melon redeemed himself with a decent net job. ;) We got another one later in the morning, again on a board rod, it was Melon's fish ~36", and from what I recall an exceptional net job... (Thank you very much)

Nice opener with a great crew. I'll post pics later...

Saw some, but 0 for 0 for the hound. Partner got one 28" pike by marsacs I had two follows one in the Johnston over by Walpole, small one. and a 30lber on the westside of Anchor Bay. Alot of running and gunning, went through 27 gallons of gas. OUCH!! It seemed to me that the big girls were hanging in the 6 ft range in the weeds. Another buddy bought up a easy 30lber by New Baltimore in the same situation.

Jim

Enjoyed hanging out with evreyone. It was a blast.

I don't feel so bad either. Off the Wall (Mike) and I got skunked too but all in all we enjoyed ourselves. It was an enjoyable day on the water even though we didn't even get a rip. We covered a good size chunk of Anchor Bay without a thing. We marked a ton of fish but no takers. We hit the water around 6:00 and I looked at my watch as I finished setting the last line and it was 6:25. At about 11:45 I got a warning buzzer that I thought was coming from the fish finder but after turning it off the alarm kept sounding. It turned out to be a warning buzzer from the motor. At this point I haven't figured out just what it was telling me but I'll look into it tomorrow. I think my voltage regulator is toast because I was reading 16 volts on my voltmeter but I don't think that there would be an alarm for that. I'm thinking it may have been a temp warning. I'll hook up the muffs tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Luckily, we were only about 300 yds from Harley when the alarm went off. Thank God we weren't up in the North Channel or something like that.

I'll be out again soon and hopefully with better results.

Good job today guys, even though it was less than stellar results wise. ;)

John

A great day on the water. Could of been a little warmer, and a little less chop, but hell we had a great time! ;)

16' smoker craft black/silver

What a coincidence, we heard the Sheriff's Department yelling at some dufusses in a 16' smoker craft black/silver.

Thanks again sean for letting me be part of the crew....and thanks to both of you for the fun and laughs. Man that Kevin Bleeds alot.

I would also like to congratulate Kevin on a fine job of landing his Muskie. You'll never forget your first fish;)

Launched my buddy’s boat at Crocker launch around 7:15 am, fished from Geno's down to Strawberry light and back. We ran ever color, make, and model in the boat with no action until we decided to troll back to the launch around 12:00. We got the only hook up in front of spillway, 10 FOW, down rod, #9 dollar bass Muskie Stalker. The fish was a solid 20-25 pounder the only problem was that we lost it due to some fantastic aerial display on the fish’s part. It tail walked and spit the lure right out of its mouth. We were still happy for the quick action on such a slooow day of fishing. Did anyone fish the south shore at all? I wonder since the water temps are warmer then usual this time of year if the fish are heading for deeper water.

Thank

Started out a bit late. Hit the water a bit after 6 am. Headed to New Baltimore. Hit about 10.5 fow. Lines dropped. Fished all believers. Picked up about a 30" pike on a long line back about 60ft. Small yellowish green believer, 3 oz inline. Away she went. about 1/2 hour later picked up a screamer on a long line 50-65 ft back on a bloody nose creek chub pike ended up being 40-41" Ski! Nice fish. Lamprey on board . Took a pic and away she went. Fished about another 1/2 hour and very hard hit on the side rod back 25' on a large jointed believer, yellow/green frog. Couldn't even get any line. She was on a mission. Fought for about a minute and away she went. Decided to pack it in and do a change up. Stocked up on gas and munchies and headed to Ginos. Dodged the storms and ended up picked up 1 smalley, 2 eyes, 2 nice perch, a white bass and another northern. Not a bad day I guess:rolleyes:

Oh, and Mini got us on the radio with Bob Bauer:p

We went zero for zero 7-11 AM. First opening day skunk. Ran every color and size Terminator known to man, some spoons, ect. This sounds bad but I am glad to hear it wasn't just us..... Any ideas? My guess is pressure system/ weather related. The banks we like to fish actually had decent weed growth for this time of year so we actualy thought it was going to be on. I figure another week or two..... just in time for the tourney.
