To the guys that helped my son and his little buudy, thank you so much! They headed out at approx 5 PM and shortly after setting up. they broke off on a big fish. Fish Eater came to the rescue and fixed them up with a replacement rig (plus a spare). Thanks my friend! FishTales was also out there keeping an eye on the young men which is much appreciated. Anyways, the 12 year old boys got off to a slow start but ended up with 9 nice eyes before they headed home for dinner. I also talked to another member that asked a favor of me. The screen name was .........something wings and although I searched for a post reguading your kicker motor problem, I didn't find it. If you read this post, my suggestion was take it to Compass Point Marina in Fair Haven. Not that it will help but tell him John from "In Cahoots" sent you. The owner, Mark Weber should take good care of you. Take care and good luck fishing guys!:)

The young men did better than I did today, with a lot less gas burned. Its great that site members look out for each other. It seems like every 3rd boat out there is from our site:)

Yeah, you guys are great! In my earlier post, I forgot to thank Msuiceman who was also out there helping to keep on eye on the boys. Much appreciated! Also, I’m pretty sure that the other member was Scarletwing that had the kicker problem. I’ll send him a PM in case he doesn’t read this thread. I didn’t take a pic of the catch (Neal might spot me with another Miller can :p) but I did take one as the boys returned home from a pretty successful outing.

Anytime John. Like I said out there, anything for you my friend. I'd give Paul my own Life Jacket off my back if he needed it. Don't mention it. Sorry that I had to split so fast. I could here you on the radio calling him in but I had to go. My Dad was rushed to St. John's with Cardiac problems. I was in the hospital til 4 am. They were able to resusitate him and he's in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. He's far from outta the woods. I'm leaving for St. John's again here in a minute. His heart is in seriously bad shape. To compound matters, he's been on Dialysis for about a year due to his Kidneys being shot. I know I was keeping on eye on your young lad, but when I got that phone call at 7, I had to go.:( I'm still pretty freaked out, a mess. As far as the fishing, yeah we were killin em before I got that call. Me and my partner got 11. We were culling for about an hour or so. Lost count at around 29-30 keeper 'Eyes and we were planning on keeping #12 when I got that phone call. I was gonna post a pic of the limit and a report on here, but I don't have that time now. The fish are still in my cooler packed in ice. I don't know when I'm gonna get time to clean em. If later today I'm still unable to leave the ICU is there anyone that could take these fish? I would like to try to clean them, but I don't know what my schedule is gonna be like for awhile. I put work on hold, everything is on the backburner right now. I don't know when I'm gonna be back on a 'Puter to check this, but I hate wasting, and I never waste a precious fish. If I'm running the risk of these going bad, somebody has to take them. Problem is, their with my boat at 21 and Garfield. I'm all the way down @ St. John's. I'll have to figure something out. Sorry for the life story and dumping my problems on you, but, I don't know. I gotta run. Again, anytime John, and you've done an amazing job raising an outstanding young lad. He was trolling right behind me, and when I looked back and seen him hand that rod with a fish on it over to his buddy, well that touched my heart. My partner (Jimmy) told me to tell you that he had a great time watching those boys fishin. That reminded us exactly of us when Me and Jimmy were 12 years old. We've been fishin partners for 19 years. Only difference we said, was that when we were 12 years old, we never handed a rod over to each other! Boy, we fought for whose rod that was! You've got an excellant son. Gotta go. Again, sorry for the doom and gloom.

Thanks for all the support guys. It's 11 o'clock ish. I PM'ed MSUICEMAN a little while ago but I understand it's getting late. I'm exhausted. I have the fish with me at 59 and Garfield now. Their in a big cooler packed in layers of newspaper, and layer upon layer of ice. Their not frozen solid, but they've been ice ice cold since the moment they were netted. About 24 hours ago now. The eyeballs are fresh looking, reflective, and are not sunken in whatsoever. I'm way to busy with taking care of my dad to clean these fish right now. First guy that wants them, please take them. Just PM me, or ask for my number. I'm hoping to pass them on to somone that can do them justice first thing in the morning. I'll be checking my PM's frequently tonight. Thanks guys. I'll give an update of my dad later. He's alive. Not out of the woods yet, but today we had a couple small victories. Baby steps right now, baby steps.:( Thanks guys. I'd appreciate it so much if somebody could make sure these fish didn't die in vain. Again, thank you all. Here is a pic of the fish that I just snapped.

Scott, good luck to your dad. Just got back in town, first post I've sent.
Junior save some walleyes for me!
Gotta get my Durango fixed first before I can go out fishing. See, somebody was talking a couple weeks ago about fuel pumps and such so my car decided to join the crowd. At least I hope it's Just the fuel pump.
