LANSING--The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold a sealed bid auction in June on several parcels of dedicated state-owned land being offered for sale. The
properties include:
* 36 lots on the northwest part of Beaver Island, St. James Township, Charlevoix County
* One lot (0.42 acres) adjacent to Holland State Park, Park Township, Ottawa County
* One 65-acre parcel in East Bay Township, Grand Traverse County
* One 40-acre parcel in Enterprise Township, Missaukee County
The DNR recommends that all prospective purchasers do their own research as to suitability of the property for the purpose intended, and conduct a personal inspection of the property being offered for sale.
The state of Michigan makes no representations or claims as to fitness for purpose, ingress/egress, conditions, covenants and/or restrictions.
The following information is provided for each property:
* Land Transaction Case No. 19990071 -- Charlevoix County, St. James Township: 36 vacant lots located in Port St. James Subdivision, Nos. 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8; and the Font Lake Plat. All lots are interior lots. Minimum bid per individual lot: $3,000.
* Land Transaction Case No. 19980107 -- Ottawa County, Park Township, T5N, R16W, Section 28: All that part of Lot #10 of Heneveld's Supervisor's Plat 29, lying northerly of the centerline of Lakeshore Drive South (0.42 acres). Minimum bid: $8,200.
* Land Transaction Case No. 19950284 -- Grand Traverse County, East Bay Township, Section 18, T26N, R10W: The fractional N1/2 of the fractional NW1/4 (65.02 acres).
Parcel has no road access and is landlocked. Minimum bid: $62,000.
* Land Transaction Case No. 19980275 -- Missaukee County, Enterprise Township, T23N, R5W, Section 35: The SW1/4 of the NW1/4 (40 acres). Parcel has no road access and is landlocked. Minimum bid: $10,000.
A bid deposit of 10 percent of the bid amount is required with each sealed bid. Bids less than the minimum indicated or offers other than cash will not be accepted. The state may reserve mineral rights, access rights and aboriginal antiquities on any or all properties being offered for sale.
