Thanks to the "beyond the call of duty" efforts of
SFK and Amos we now have published tips on how to get your pictures in ship-shape for storing and publishing on this site and others. They have covered most of the major picture editing software that is out there. If you don't have one of the programs they covered then you must be using some sticks and rocks for tools :)

The tips are at:
http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photofaq/PhotoFAQ.htm

as well as through other hard links sprinkled throughout the site.

I just want to thank SFK and Amos. Fine Job!

This will clear up any future questions and the step by step instructions are very easy to follow.

Beautifully done. :)

It's probably the most comprehensive coverage on this topic I have seen on the internet. Hats off!

I guess I don't really know if the picture have improved or not as I have not had time to scan everyone's user galleries to see what is being put up there.

Glad to be useful any way I can. This is a great site and I feel privileged when I can contribute.

Steve,

Clay and I have traded e-mail on this, and when I find a few hours, I do have a few more software packages for which I could run through a "How To."
It sounded like SFK had a few sitting around as well, so if you are feeling up to adding a few appendices, let us know and we will submit.

Additionally, if there are other topics you think we could use another FAQ for, let me (us) know. Even if I do not know the subject matter already, I can usually learn it and put something together that will work as a job aid.

You keep healing Steve,
Kevin

Lunker-

.art format is not very common among graphics programs. There are very few that can read it. BUT, there is a way to convert these back to jpg format using you online resources. (AOL, Internet Explorer, etc.) Here is a link that will explain it. If you still have questions, send me a PM and I'll be happy to help.

Many of the original links here do not work anymore. I started a new thread which i made sticky with a link to a page for loading pics to the internet and sizing them.
