Guys, I am looking for some help and advice. I have a 98 evinrude 25hp on my boat and am looking into making it into a console steer. I was wondering a few things.
How much am I looking at for everything except the actual console stand? (steering, wheel, throttle, power cables ect)
Are any parts universal other than the steering wheel? IE. The actual throttle control, cables ect?
Where is the best place or any good recomendations on where to purchase the parts? online, or anywhere in michigan for the best price.
Thanks a bunch for all the help.

Do you have electric start?
The evinrude remote adapter kit runs 57.99
Pair of cables you are looking at about 35.00 each
Throttle control 202.99 - used would be cheaper if you can find one
Steering cable figure about 160-200 dollars
Steering wheel 25.00
Misc items 25.00
That is a ballpark figure using what books I have at home but should be pretty darn accurate. We can get you everything you would need at our shop in muskegon. I think that if you buy online you will get hit hard on shipping but almost any local dealer should be able to get the stuff.

Yes I do have electric start.
Are any of these items universal? I have a good connection to get some stuff for free, but it is not specific for my motor. Thanks for the help already.

Universal, not really. What are the parts that you have a line on from, that might help with telling if they will work or not.

Most of the parts that I have lines on are from 40-90hp Mercs from the mid 90s. Thanks again for all the help

Is there any other places in Michigan to shop for used parts for this?
