Can't Touch This

Decided to take the kayack out and explore some local lakes that i have never fished before. Yesterday fished bellville and had some fantasic success on smallies. I must have caught over 30 in about 4 or 5 hours. Most smallies were around 12 inches with 7 14 or over. Also caught 4 gills over 8 inches which kinda surprised me. All fish were caught on small jigs. The best spot i found on bellville is the rip rap around the first bridge. Hit ford lake today and had an even better day. caught again at least 30 smallies but they averaged much larger, most of them over 14 with the largest at 18, Also caught this mamoth silver bass, this thing is defintly the biggest silver bass i have ever seen, i almost thought it was a wiper. fished the south shoreline in between the ramp and the island. We rea;;y do have some great fishing lakes right in our backyard.
