I'm finally headed back out on the lake tomorrow. Kids soccer games and other family functions have kept me from fishing the past couple of weeks. I'm looking to take a few friends out in the morning. Does anyone have reports out of St. Joe from the past couple of days for both kings and perch? I saw a few reports of people that did pretty good earlier in the week out deep for kings. I haven't heard much though on how the perch fishing has been. Any info would be greatly appreciated :smile-mad Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the report fish-on! I hope to get out and fish for the kings, but that all depends on what the fog decides to do in the morning. The marine forecast is calling for dense fog again tomorrow morning. If that is the case, we may have to try for perch. The fog this morning was brutal. I watched it all morning through a web cam that my dad has on his house right off of the Benton Harbor water plant. As of 6:00pm it was still really thick. If we get out for either fish, I'll post a report later in the day.

We got a very late start yesterday (1:00pm), and fished until 6:oopm. We ended up starting out in 125ft of water and worked it all the way out to 225ft. Very little action all the way out and back. We took two cohos on blue dolphin on a slide diver 160ft out. Two 8lb kings came off of mag green dolphin 75ft down on the riggers. End result was 4 for 4. It seemed as though the best action was in the 100ft - 120ft water. While it was a gorgeous day out there, the black FLIES were horrible!!! Hope others had better action than we did....

Did anyone try for perch of hear any reports on perch????

5/26 a couple of my buddies and I went out salmon fishing. caught 5 missed two. Very foggy. visibility of 100 feet maybe. 2 nice 7 pounders, 3 little kings. Wasnt what I expected. Crappy fishing. should have fished the pier. Maybe the boat shouldnt have gone out on such a bad day. I dont know, Im just a newbie.

I'm willing to try again.
