Ended up 8 for 10 with 1 stand up. Fished from 6 to about 12:30. 7 kings and a laker. Put down lines in about 140 and got our first hit (a double) in 184. Blue Jackal 74 down and moonshine bloody nose down 35. Tried working that waypoint to no avail.
Next fish in 199 on Blue bubble SD and fly on dispey out 170 on 3.
Forget from there:lol:
NBK down 83 to 110 took 5 rips
Blue Jackel down 74 took 2
Bloody nose down 34 took 1
Laker on full core with a dbl orange crush.
We seemed to do our best in 200-240. Heard guys catching good numbers anywhere from 170-250.
Beautiful day on the water with sunshine and a small ripple.
Thanks to Fishinfox for putting us on our last fish and Mister Ed for joining me today:fish:

Thank You for the invite Tom. Always a pleasure to ride along with you.
I'm still thinking that treble on the NBK needs a little file work.;) Two of the rips on the NBK were doubles as well ... but we (I) couldn't keep the either fish on that line.
It was a great day on the water, as hazy/foggy as it was ... I still got a little burn on the kneck.
Also, nice to meet your girlfriend Tom.

Hey, we heard you guys along with caznik, steinfishki, and I think Karl dykema with, if I heard radio chatter right was having boat problems, hope everything was ok guy, we heard you had help. Anyway we had the family out and heard about the hot action out in 250 foot (11 miles offshore), so we headed out. Ended up 15 for for 18, all kings one coho and a farmed steelie. In a nutshell blue dolphin down 57 on the SWR took 5, double blue glow puke on the full core took 4, blue bubble fly rig on the wire dipsey back 150 took 3 and the rest were on a hodgepoge of other stuff. The fish are out there but DEEP. Anyway water temps are rising and the fish are heading in. good luck everyone. FLYGUY

Hey TGfish,
We ended up 7-7 with 6 kings and 1 laker. So we stoped fishing at 9am because we had our limit of kings and that was all that was hitting that day. Lake was sure nice out there Saturday morning and it was great to talk to you again Tom.
Caznik
Thanks for the reports. What were the temps (surface and down) out in 200+? I gotta believe these south winds will warm things up soon.

Yep we had engine troubles.. Too bad that we missed out on the fishing, but at least it was a nice day to get a tow in from 50 FOW... I already forgot his name, but a huge thanks to our savior that towed us in if you are reading this!
Good work on all the fish out there guys. I wish we could have joined you all.
I have a post in the boating fourm talking about my engine troubles if there are any mechanics out there willing to give some free advice. :)

I fished with the family 10:30-1pm and went 4/9 with 4 kings on copper, half core, wire deep, and slide divers in 230 fow. The kids 5-8 had a hard time keeping pressure on the fish.:)
Blue spinny, blue fly took 2 rips 285 back on a wire diver and 1 fish, green orange spoon on half core took 2, copper with lemon ice took hits and 1 fish, and orange on slide diver 150 back took a rip. A couple rigger hits with no one home 70-90 down. Beautiful day on the water with the kids landing some fish.
Wife could not drive straight, and my 2 year old threw my church board overboard during the heat of battle. We circled back with only 2 lines left in the water and retrieved my awol board and ran 6 rods.

Good to hear you and the family got into them also Tim.
Think about a fighting belt for those young ones. Santa bought one for Claire  (you shoulda seen the dirty look I got when she opened it). She has not used it yet, but I think it will help her a bunch.

For whatever reason the fishing was much better closer to Port Sheldon then off GH. We fished this friday and saturday off GH and did a lot better fishing to the south then straight out or too the north. 180-240 FOW was good to us. Lemon ice patterns and green dolphins were the best with some fish being taken on NBK, blue mixed veggies, orange crack, steelie stomper and red headed step child. Deep coppers, 7,10,12 color leads all took a lot of fish as did riggers 55-75 down with a few fish on slide divers and short cores, (2,3,5 colors all took fish). Mostly kings up to 10 pounds but we had 2 cohos, 2 steelhead, and 1 laker thrown in to mix it up. One of the steelhead was a nasty drop back that had a hook with a spawn bag still stuck in its throat!!! We also took some 10-15 pounders 5 down in the marina on corn.

Hehehe. In a similar turn of events, Saturday as we were setting up I gave my girl friend (aka 2nd mate in training) the task of setting out a 2 color. She let the core out and slapped on the board like a pro and then proceeded to flop it straight into the rigger cable where it became hopelessly jangled and slid down the cable. When I became aware of the problem as she muttered "uhh ohh" with a horrified look on her face it was way too late. Just about the same time the uneffected rigger went off with a spazzoid king that went flying into the rigger/core jangle creating the dreaded "super jangle". The fish was lost and an hour later I had everything straightened out and the 12 rod spread finally set out. Needless to say I sent her back to driving dutie for the remainder of the evening!!! :dizzy:
