I don't see any posts on how the Lake fishing is going in that area. I Have never been to that area so I don't know what the deal is. Should I save my $ for another time and place and if not who to charter with? Any suggestions?:)

Unless you get a more specific report, I've heard the fishing has been declining pretty rapidly in this area.

Charter with Wormdirt Charters if you decide to go out of Harrisville. Jeff (Capt Heavy) from this site and Jeremy are a couple of class A guys. Haven't seen many posts from Jeff lately but I believe he has a nice Tiara to fish out of.

You can go there and catch lake trout right now. They have been getting a few steelies and a king here and there. I dont know if wormdirt has his boat in yet, if not and you are looking for a good charter you there, get with Tim Wildfong from "Gailforce". I know his boat is in and has been fishing up there. He also has a 27' tiara.

I think Jeff is in. I know they are catching lakers at Black River in 60-70 ft. of water. I ran shake down cruise today out of Alpena in 30 ft of water just to check new stuff and went 2 for 3. One nice 7-8 lb king and smaller laker fishing for Browns and lost another fish. So I know Jeff and crew are doing lakers in Harrisville. Capt Ed

We checked out the ramp in Harrisville on Saturday and the lot was empty! Local hardware guy said fishing was slow.:(
