Higgins Lake

Does anyone fish Higgins much? I am heading up their for the weekend and plan to do some fishing. I am just wondering what to expect, what to target, what to take for bait/tackle, and maybe even areas of the lake to fish.

Any advise would be appreciated.

the kids and I went to Higgins and we went after the lakers...yes at 100 fow...take the downriggers..we had a blast...bass and others at the shallows and drop offs

Thanks for the inste. I am not sure what to expect but would guess we will target the perch/SM Bass in more shallow water and drop offs as we are not set up with down riggers to chase the lakers.

they are right. get out there early and you have a chance. there are a few monster pike in there as well.
