First a caution, Last chance tackle is not handling licenses this year. I had to back-track to Bibi's (I think) to get mine.
I got a late start to my first prospecting mission of the year. I hit the water at about 10:00 and was greeted with a 20 mph wind out of the south. Needless to say, the lake was a bit choppy. I an out to 50 fow and droppe my spoons down to 20 and 20 and dragged a bit. I was surprised by a fat 3-4 pound steelie. I promptly hit him square in th eface with the net in the rough water and sent him home. I trolled a little while longer and hit number two. Same scenario...lost at the transom. Both fish were caught on standard size double orange crush 20 down 20-25 back.
Not like July, but better than lakers!;)
