Channel Cats in UP?

Does anyone konw if there are channel cats in any of the bigger UP rivers?

Yoopertoo,
I would check the Little and Big Bay DeNoc areas. Lake Michigan has a very diversified fishery. I wouldn`t be suprised to find channel cats or flatheads in rivers like the Escanaba. Hope this helps. Ask the local MDNR Fisheries biologist.

Has anyone heard of something called a menomenee catfish?

From what I understand, if you are fishing for cats in the upper you should be fishing in the Menomenee River on the Wisconsin border. (Can catch an occasional sturgeon too for added excitement)
