Grand Haven

Any perch being caught off of the Grand Haven pier???? Is anything being caught off the pier?

Im not sure whats biting, but i'm thinking im gonna head over there this weekend and see whats up.

The only fish I have seen caught off of the GH pier have been sheep and a cat once in a while......it has been terrible.

Going to be camping there all weekend; was hoping of picking up some of those nice lake perch. Does anyone know when the perch start coming in around the pier? I seen them caught last year around the first week of August

I stopped out yesterday and fishing was really really slow. No perch off the piers yet.

I was there over the holiday weekend and caught all the catfish and sheeps you want with some very nice size ones. I did hook 1 king or steelhead but I couldn't quite see it cleary enough to see which. I just could see that it definitely was a trout in the 6 to 8 pound range.

Hopefully with the warm weather the perch will start moving in shortly.

Once again no trout/salmon...... Hit the pier with tcampbell30, only fish hooked and landed by us was a 7-8# channel cat, did see a few sheep caught also....

On the way in from 350+ fow on Sunday where the surface temp was 50.1 degrees we found some 49 degree water just outside the mud line.

Called out to Grand Haven today and the water temp was a balmy 43!!!!:tdo12: :dizzy: . Thats gotta be a bit too cold.
