Got a late start but managed a 4 for 7 day all around the 60 fow line. 3 lakers and a pink. All the lakers came on cowbells and peanut flies right on the bottom. Largest laker was 8 pounds.

Sounds good Baydawg. I don't know much about them pinks, any size to them and do they prefer any specific presentation?

Brian S we always caught the pinks on spoons, most of the time mags. We usually found them when we were changing up a dead line. 1-2 pounds 16-18 inches for size.

Just wondering if those pinks are good table fare?

Yes they are excellent baked...Off with the head/guts and blow the scales off with a hose (scales come off very easily) and then use your favorite recipe.....;)

You can run Peanuts and or Spin glows behind either dodgers or cowbells...

Peanuts are like wobble-glows on steroids. I think.

Blue Dolphin has been our #1 laker spoon this year. Green Dolphin has been our #1 brown and salmon spoon. Once in a while a king might hit the blue dolphin or the laker might hit the green. We have been taking our biggest lakers on a clear spindoctor with the firecracker tape with a mirage fly behind it going 2.7mph. 25 FOW was very good before the West winds we had. Now most fish are in the 30-72 mark. Marking most fish in 55-65... but no takers. Marking nothing at 72 but catching most of the fish there. Weird. Lots of pinks on green dolphin. Half way down for kings....20 off bottom for lakers. Going out this weekend and monday. Doghouse on 68.

Don't laugh. If your running core this weekend out there, you better tell those ass hole speedboaters and sail boats that your running lines out far. Last year fishing around the harbor we were fighting a double while a sail boat came very close to the boat and almost cut our lead. Its not funny when you just had someone cut a 10 color set up and took your spindoctor and fly. I don't care. Its Kevin that you have to worry about.

You're fishing near the harbor with a full core and expect a sailboat to be the give way vessel? Better brush up on your navigation rules.
