went out to play for awhile.went 6 for 10 mostly kings and one laker.80 ft out front.spoon program 40 to 60 down.10 color core went once,dispys went a few times 150 on 3.fished 8:30 to 1,weather started lookin if'y so headed in to fill the smoker.

Sounds like a decent play day! We started in 80' at 7:30 at South Haven and worked our way out to 170'. Action was just kind of steady for us at all depths. Caught one fish 120' down and the rest came with riggers at 60' with a slider. Did catch one on dipsy back 250' with Spin Dr/white fly. Went 7 for about 12 or so. Three were only 2-3# and the other four were about 5-6#. It did start to look kind of nasty so we headed in at 12:30. Slider that was hot was monkey puke with an orange stripe. Solid green also did well.

Took a friend out for his first trip out on Lake Michigan (St. Joe) today, we ended up 9 for 12. I'll try to get some pics. up tomorrow. Full core was going good with double orange crush mag Pro King. Dipsey on 2, 170 back took a couple, stinger mongoose. Rigger 85 down with coyote stingray, took a couple. Nothing big just a fun day.

Wow, a lot of reports for a Wednesday. I too got out of St. Joe 5/24. We went 8 for 9 in 100 - 115 fow. 5 kings, 1 coho, 2 lakers. Blue dolphin took 7 of the nine hits, most of which were 40 ft down 15' behind the ridgeback. Other hits were 210' back on the dipsy (blue bubble), 100 down on the rigger (blue dolphin), and a half core (mag froggy). At 10am we decided to use the minnows we brought with us and shoot in shallow for some perchin. We caught 20 to 25, keeping a dozen good ones.

Looks like you guys were 30 for 43 on a Wednesday when the rest of us were wishin we were out there. Very good numbers for 4 boats. Did any of you guys have any larger Kings or any steelhead? Nice job.

nothen big for us 5 maybe 6 pounders.just right for the smoker.looks like a few of us snuck out for a mid-week play day,:lol::lol: work?aagh i dont feel good today.:lol:.gooooone fishin :D
