I was there this past Saturday but got skunked. The wind was a problem. I tried the west side of the lake where there's a BUNCH of trees stumps (do NO use your big motor in this area). I used a Texas Rigged worm with a bullet sinker. It's not deep there but there was already signficant weeds and some lilly pads. I'm kind of surprised I didn't hit anything.
Directly to the west of this log infested bay is a nice deep drop off area. There is one edge on the eastern side that has a high "cliff" that is deteriorating away. I thought it held some promise but didn't fish it cuz I had to go.
If you look at an aerial photo you'll get a good idea of all the fingers/bays on this lake. It looks like a good lake but I have never had real success there.
Let us know how you do.

I have fished Lakeville a few times with some success but only during the warmer months. Go to the NE side of the lake and fish that shoreline. I have caught some nice LM up in the weeds there. I used a perch Rapala and also a Texas Rigged Worm. Good Luck.

I have had success at lakeville in the warmer months as well. Try trolling around the bay where the launch is at, pulled a few decent pike out from there last year. Also in that same bay, on the west side there is a small inlet in front of a house on a hill, there is a drop off along that shore where the bass like to hang out. Good luck!

Lakeville is a great lake to produce a lot of fish. The only problem I have is finding the fish at times. The most consistent area for pulling a lot of pike is the northern most "finger" of the lake. Pulled 26 pike in a day between two of us on white spinner baits. Bass are usually held up in the prevoiusly mentioned "stumpy corner".
