Cleared the piers at 8:00 AM. Based on the replies I got from my request for GH info, I intended to go out to 150 fow and set up there. Instead, we cleared the piers only to find a fleet of boats cruising in 50 fow. We decided to give it a try and set up.
In a nut shell, we went 3 for 4. Landed 3 small kings and lost another that felt a bit heavier. One hit off the rigger on a fixed slider, double orange crush 30 ft down, another came on a blody nose fixed slider 25 ft down another hit on the magnum blue dolphin off the dipsey. That one hit as I was reeling it in. The big fish that got away hit a three way that had a firetiger husky jerk and a stinger scorpion off the planer board. Around noon we went out to 100fow for a couple hours but no hits there and no other boats around.
