Silver Lake in Kent County gives up a few from time to time as well. Let us know how you do...

From what I`ve been told by local bait dealers/shops in Grand Rapids, the Grand is supposedly the most underlooked walleye secret in the area. I was amazed at the diversity of a fishery the Grand is! Salmon, trout, walleye, bass, catfish. The only time I fished it I caught a bunch of bass both large and smallmouth, I didn`t catch any walleyes. I look forward to getting back down there and slaying some more fish.

I used to live near the st. joseph river and there are tons of walleye fisherman that drift that river with a crawler harness and do very good. I don't see as many people do that in the grand but i will be trying it alot this summer in my new boat. I will give reports on my progress.

I don't know how it is anymore but I used to catch some nice ones in the Grand near Amway where the thornapple joins it. I used egg sinkers with crawlers to get it down in the holes. I also picked up a lot of catfish doing this but we picked up some real nice Walleyes using this method.
