man I love that lake but I've only fished it for bass. Right now(if temps are up) the smallies ought to be thinking about bedding....maybe a couple more weeks the way the weather has been. Sorry, I'm almost a walleye virgin. If I'm trying to catch them I don't. I sometimes catch them while bass fishing.

fished her the evening of the 19th and all day the 20th..wind at 20 mph or better, overcast some rain, air temps in 50's..water temp around 57 droppin to 55.............of all the eyes we caught not one could be stretched to legal limit.....picked up most eyes and other fish trolling the 10 to 14 foot depths in mid/north lake........depths seemed to be slow..talkin with other fisherman they seemed to have less luck on their live bait presentations.. taildancers/in tennessee shad or shad produced best for us.......geez whats with the national guard? put a fence up where the old launch used to be on the base?
I was also up there fri. night and sat morn. I got 1 small wally and a Brown Trout:http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/523/medium/PICT0148.JPG (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=43315&size=big&cat=)

Geez thats one good lookin brownie....you could knock me over as well, about trout being in there, but hey water is decent, creeks trickle in, good trout streams all around and maybe we do a search DNR may have planted a few cold water species years back..LOL.........nice fish..if its not giving away secrets..would did you take her on?
Just Trollin Around W/ A Brown/black (think There Call Husky Jerks) Rapala. It Was Just Before Dark Friday Night And My Lights Wernt Working. I Had My Head Under The Dash Checking Connections When The Reel Started To Zing And Nod. I Heard The Fish Jump But At That Time I Couldnt See What It Was.

Oh i See! bragging aye? nice agile guy can duck under console and still get up to grab reel..aye? If i was under the console they would have to call 911 to get me out, and i'm sure fish and reel would be long gone by then!:D .. That color is pretty close to what we were having our best luck on................nice catch..thanks for reply!
