I caught a 12 lbs 32 inch Walleye Thursday Night, How much an inch to mount? What is a good suggestion for mounting, I was thinking a panel mount on a piece of drift wood.

Congratulations! That's a trophy size walleye anywhere in North America....eh? Expect rates per inch from $8.00 to $15.00. In general, you'll get what you pay for as far as quality. Expect to see walleye mounts from anyone you choose. The pose and background are YOUR choices and preferences. What I like, you might not. You should have choices such as which way the mount faces, tail up or tail down, "C" or "S" curves, and the degree to which the mouth and gills are opened. Expect to pay more for extras like a panel or engraved nameplates. I would recommend the fish have a custom "mountmate" hanger installed. With that you can hang your trophy on any background(panel, driftwood, rustic slab) that has a screw in it. You would always have the option of changing backgrounds or displaying the fish alone. There are some excellent fish taxidermists(specialists) in Michigan, and very likely close to where you live. Good luck!

Nice 'eye Doughman!!! Where's some pics??? Let me guess .... it came out of Fremont Lake, right??

I know from experience that DZ (site sponser) does great work, that is all he does is fish. Tough part with him is that he is on the other side of the state (a little south of Flint). Last I knew he was charging $10/inch. I had a 29" mounted on a piece of drift wood, and it came out very nice. Here is a pic ... it really does not do it justice. There are a couple other pics in my gallery ... if you want a closer look.

I have a pic of the other 7 my buddy and I caught but that fish went home with my other buddy who lives accross from a taxidermist which I won't name because he is not a member of this site yet. Anyhow, my buddy had 2 mounted from last fall and it was a great job. He is charging me 6 an inch and 20 for the wood. I ordered a wall mount tail up. All together just under 200 was my total. I have many pics on my digital and I have to figure out how to get them on here I have never done it.

Not out of Fremont Lake, I caught them in some water on the shoreline in that one spot ;)  I have caught 15 this week and one of the days I got skunked.
